PINEAPPLE CAKE RECIPEPineapple is a tropical plant and the most economically significant plant in the Bromeliaceae family. It may be cultivated from a crown cutting of the fruit but it doesn’t do not ripen significantly after harvest. Can be consumed fresh, cooked, juiced, or preserved, pineapples are found in various cuisines. One of them is pineapple cake. It contains butter, flour, egg, sugar, and pineapple. My grandma has been making this delightful dessert for years. At first, I followed her recipe exactly like what she told me. After that, my mum and I made some adaptations to the recipe. Both are great but the last may be slightly better. Its soft in texture and tastes good. The sweet fruit filling come together as a perfect companion for your tea and other beverages. Cheers.

Cooking time: 45 minutes


  • 4 egg yolks
  • 2 egg white
  • 100 gr powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 75 gr of flour, sifted
  • 50 gr of butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp chocolate powder, dissolved with a little hot water or mocha paste

For filling

  • 250 ml fresh milk
  • 100 gr sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3 tbsp cornstarch
  • 200 gr pineapple, peeled, clean and coarsely chopped
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence


  1. Filling: cook pineapple until the water is a little shrinking. Pour the remaining milk and sugar. Cook until boiling.
  2. Dissolve cornstarch with a little milk, set aside. Pour the cornstarch into the pineapple pot while stirring little by little until blended. Cook until cooked through and creamy. Lift. Stir in margarine and vanilla essence. Mix well.
  3. Cake: combine egg yolks, egg whites, sugar, salt, and vanilla essence until fluffy, thick and white. Stir in flour little by little while stirring slowly until blended.
  4. After that, add melted butter and then stir gently until blended. Take 3 tbsp of the batter and mix well with the chocolate paste. Stir in the dough into triangle Set aside.
  5. Take 10 cm diameter round mold, grease with margarine and sprinkle with flour or cover with bread paper. Pour 2 tablespoons of the dough, flatten. Create lines with the chocolate dough on it. Next, make a line opposite the line of chocolate.
  6. Steam for 15 minutes until the cake is cooked, lift. Directly remove the cake from the mold and fill the middle part with 1 tbsp of filling and fold it in half so that the shape is a half circle.
