SWEET POTATO CROQUETTE RECIPE – As we have explained earlier, there are many foods we can make from sweet potato. With the additional ingredient like breadcrumbs, grated coconut, and cornstarch, we can make a delicious food called Sweet Potato Croquette.   • 500 g white sweet potato, steamed and mashed
  • 3 tbsp. cornstarch
  • 75 g coconut, grated
  • ¼ tsp. salt
  • 2 eggs, freely mixed
  • Breadcrumbs
  • Vegetable oil

Filling Ingredient

  • Brown sugar, roughly chopped (you can adjust its amount according to your needs)


  1. Mix the mashed sweet potato together with the cornstarch, grated coconut, and salt while being stirred until combined.
  2. Take a small piece of the mixture, for about 50 g, flatten it into a thin disc with your hands then fill it with chopped brown sugar. Round it off after filled with the brown sugar. Repeat with the remaining mixture until all the croquette mixture is used up.
  3. Dip the croquette into the egg then roll it into the breadcrumbs. Repeat with the remaining croquette.
  4. Deep fry the sweet potato croquette until slightly golden or well cooked, remove from the heat and drain. Serve it soon as it is still warm together with a cup of hot tea.

Note: Make approximately 12 pieces.
