TRADITIONAL CUCUR CAKE RECIPE

TRADITIONAL CUCUR CAKE RECIPE – Cucur cake or kue cucur is one kind of traditional cakes that still exist in this modern era. The original color of the cake is brown and it has a fibrous texture.

Ingredients

  • 1 kilogram rice flour
  • 1/2 kilogram flour
  • 1150 ml water
  • 1 kilogram brown sugar, sliced finely
  • 3 pieces pandan leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil as needed

Directions

  1. Boil the water, pandan leaves, salt and brown sugar until dissolved, strain and set aside and allow to cool.
  2. Mix the rice flour and flour until blended, dissolved with brown sugar water bit by bit while continuing pat by hand for 30 minutes. Put the dough for 8-10 hours in the refrigerator.
  3. Prepare a 18-20 cm diameter iron skillet, add 50 ml of cooking oil and heat over low heat. Pour 50 ml or 1 tablespoon vegetable dough, fry until half cooked. Puncture the middle with a skewer and continue cooking until cooked, remove and drain.

Cucur cake is ready to be served.
