BANANA PUDDING RECIPE WITH CREAM CHEESE – This is the same recipe that my grandma has made for years. This dessert does not last long when she made it. Banana pudding was my favorite dessert as a child growing up. Grandma would cook her custard made from milk, egg, gelatin powder, sugar, and vanilla extract. The recipe Indonesian-recipes brought to you today is simpler, in my opinion. I have been making this recipe for over one year for family and friends and have never had any leftovers. Almost everyone who has tried this recipe has loved it, asked for the recipe, and always wanted me to bring it to a potluck. I enjoy bringing this to potlucks because it’s handy and vanishes quickly. It is easy, cheap to make, and it serves a bunch of people. Soooo yummy!

Ingredients

  • 2 bananas
  • 1 egg
  • 1 packet of gelatin powder of white color
  • 3 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 6 tbsp powdered milk
  • 200 ml of water (note: water + milk powder could be replaced with 250 ml UHT milk)
  • 1 sachet of vanilla powder
  • 45 grams of cheddar cheese

Directions

  1. Peel and cut bananas into pieces, put in blender.
  2. Stir in gelatin powder, egg, water, grated cheese, vanilla, sugar and milk into a blender. Blend until smooth.
  3. Heat the steamer.
  4. Grease a baking pan with butter, then pour the batter from the blender into a baking pan.
  5. Steamed for 30 minutes, and do not forget to cover the steamer with cloth/napkins so the water is not dripping in dough.
  6. Once cooked, remove the steam, and then put in refrigerator.
  7. Once cool, cut into pieces according to taste and then sprinkle with grated cheese & messes.
  8. Serve.
