SWEET SOUR SALAD RECIPE – The ingredients you have to prepare are indramayu mangoes or puppet mangoes to make this sweet sour salad. Other types of fruit you can add are kedondong or papaya. Recipes and how to make this fresh sweet sour salad can you look at the steps below.


  • 6 pieces kedondong
  • 400 grams papaya
  • 3 mangoes
  • 4 large cabbage leaves
  • 150 ml warm water
  • 5 tablespoons sugar
  • 50 ounces cashews
  • 150 ml cooking oil

Sauce, Stir well

  • 100 gr sugar
  • 6-7 limes or lemons
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt


  1. Sauce: squeeze the lemon water and then add sugar, chili powder and salt. Stir to dissolve the sugar and chili powder. Set aside.
  2. Peel kedondong, mangoes and papaya. Grate rough kedondong and mango lengthwise and set aside. Grate papaya wide, set aside. Wash cabbage leaves thoroughly. Then slice into thin slices and set aside. Mix with water and sugar, stir until sugar dissolves. Then add cabbage slices, stir briefly. Soak for 15 minutes.Remove and drain, set aside.
  3. Heat the oil over medium heat and fry cashew nuts until it is crispy and it turns slightly goldenin color. Remove and drain. After a rather cold cashews coarsely grounded, set aside. Add kedondong shavings, mango, papaya, and cabbage leaves into a rather large container. Then pour the chili sauce. Stir until seasonings and ingredients are well blended. Leave for 30 minutes to allow the flavors to absorb, fruits and vegetables rather wilted.
  4. Prepare a few small serving bowl and give 2-3 tablespoons salad. Sprinkle crushed cashews on top and serve immediately.


* For the salad, choose half-cooked mangoes.

Can also use a potato or mango salad, but the taste is less matched for the filling.
