CHEESE LASAGNA RECIPE – Did you ever feel confused in providing delicious and mouth-watering alternative home cuisine menus for your family? My own ending chase is over when finally I found the precious grandma’s recipes book. This is it! For everyone who love cheese and lasagna. Basic cheese lasagna recipe that can be adapted very easily for family preferences. One of my family’s favorites. They love this lasagna and the baking time is also so quick. I always end up making extra to freeze for another meal another time. Just save and reheat it and let it make you wonder how it still has that great taste!

Cooking Time

Preparation: 30 minutes

Cook: 70 minutes

Total: 100 minutes

For: 1 serving

Main Ingredients

  • 250 grams pasta

Meat Sauce Ingredients

  • 5 large tomatoes
  • 170 grams tomato paste
  • 1 tsp oregano powder
  • cooking oil
  • 1 tsp chicken stock
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp ground pepper
  • 1 clove of garlic, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 500 grams ground beef
  • 300 ml water
  • 1 large carrot coarsely chopped

Cheese Sauce Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp plain flour
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 250 grams finely grated cheddar cheese
  • ½ tsp nutmeg powder
  • 1000 ml fresh milk
  • ½ tsp pepper powder

Topping Ingredients

  • 250 grams coarsely grated mozzarella cheese

Cheese sauce

  1. Melt butter and then in a bowl add flour. Stir well.
  2. Slowly pour milk into the dough, and continue stirring until bubbly. Stir in cheese.
  3. Add pepper powder, salt, and nutmeg powder.
  4. After that, pour water into the dough, and then cook until done or for approximately 20 minutes.

Meat Sauce

  1. Prepare a frying pan and heat oil, and then stir-fried carrots, garlic and onion till aromatic.
  2. Add ground beef. Cook until the color is slightly changed, and then pour tomatoes or tomato paste.
  3. Stir in pepper powder, sugar, salt, oregano and chicken stock.
  4. After that, pour water into the dough, and then cook until done or for approximately 20 minutes.

How to Make Cheese Lasagna

  1. Prepare a heat resistant aluminum foil/pyrex, grease with butter. Make some layers on it. First layer is pasta, cheese sauce, pasta and the last is meat sauce. Make these layers until the pyrex full and there is no pasta and sauce left.
  2. Sprinkle coarsely grated mozzarella cheese on top and then bake in oven at 180 degrees-temperature for 30 minutes.
