HEALTHY CHICKEN NUGGET RECIPE – Who doesn’t know chicken nugget, a delicious food made from either meat slurry or chicken breasts cut to shape, breaded or battered, then deep-fried or baked. It is very common to taste as snack or meal in our breakfast right? We can usually find it in the supermarket easily but have we ever thought that chicken nugget we buy might contains MSG and other preservatives? Maybe we will think that buying it in the supermarket is much more efficient than making it by ourselves at home. Unfortunately, it is a wrong decision because making nugget at home is much healthier and the most important thing, we can make it more delicious than instant nugget. Nugget Ingredients

  • 300 g ground meat
  • 50 g grated cheddar cheese
  • 2 eggs, freely mixed
  • ¼ tsp. salt
  • ¼ tsp. ground pepper
  • 4 cloves of garlic, ground

Crumb Ingredients

  • 100 g breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs, freely mixed
  • Vegetable oil

Steps

  1. Put the ground meat, grated cheddar cheese, eggs, salt, ground pepper, and ground garlic in a bowl and stir them until combined.
  2. Pour the mixture into a square baking tray spread with vegetable oil and lined with onionskin.
  3. Steam the nugget for about 20 minutes, then remove from the heat. After it is cool, cut it according to your taste.
  4. Dip the nugget into the mixed egg then roll it into the breadcrumbs and do it twice. Repeat with the remaining nugget until used up.
  5. Heat up the vegetable oil then fry the chicken nugget until slightly golden. Remove from the heat and drain. Serve it while it is warm together with sauce if you like.

Tips: Store raw nugget which has not been rolled in the breadcrumbs yet in the refrigerator if you won’t fry it immediately. It can last for 3 days.
