ROULADEN RECIPE – Rouladen or Rinderrouladen is a German dish. It usually consists of bacon, onions, and pickles wrapped in thinly sliced beef which is later cooked. Rouladen are traditionally served for dinner. However, with this recipe you can make it anytime and serve it to your family or pals. It’s a fantastic meal. My family loved it, even my picky little sister. This recipe I took from my friend, Alva, who spends her master degree abroad. It reminds me of her wonderful cooking.   • 250 grams meat,thin sliced against fiber
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 gherkin, long sliced
  • 1/2 teaspoon mustard
  • 2 pieces of smoked beef,long sliced
  • 1/2 onions, long sliced
  • 2 tablespoons oil for sautéing
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper powder

Sauce Ingredients

  • 1 onion, cut into 4 parts
  • 100 gram carrots, round cut
  • 2 leeks, cut into 1 cm
  • 250 ml water
  • 1/2 tablespoons wheat flour protein and 1 tablespoon water to dissolve a thickener
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon mustard


  1. Rub meat with salt, mustard, and pepper powder.
  2. Take a slice of meat. Put gherkin, smoked beef, and onion into it. Rolls.
  3. Sauté the meat until it changes in Stir in onions. Saute until fragrant.
  4. Stir in carrots and leeks. Mix well. Pour water. Cook over low heat until doneand creamy. Lift the meat. Set aside.
  5. Add 300 ml of water in the stir fry. Cook until boiling.
  6. Thicken with flour solution. Cook until thick.
  7. Add salt, pepper powder, and mustard. Cook until bubbly.
  8. Serve with meat smothered in sauces.
