SATE BABI RECIPE – If finding a great Indonesian sate dish turns to be challenging for you in your country, Indonesian-recipes brought it for you today. Indonesian pork skewers, or satay babi seems so delicious for a huge fan of pork. Yummy!

Serves: 4 people

Cooking time: 60 minutes


  • 500 grams pork belly
  • 2 roasted pecans
  • 2 cm galangal, pounded
  • roasted coriander to taste
  • 10 cloves shallots
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • cooking oil
  • water
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar, shaved
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • sweet soy sauce to taste
  • a pinch of salt

  1. Crush pecans, coriander, shallots, and garlic. Then stir-fried all the spices until fragrant. After that, add water. Stir in brown sugar, sugar, and salt. Keep stirring while adding soy sauce until the sauce thick in texture. Lift.
  2. Put the pork in the marinating sauce (left some sauce for the grilling). Stir well then leave it for 1 hour in the fridge or leave it overnight so that the seasoning absorbs well in the pork.
  3. Skewer the pork and grill the pork until half done. After that, smear the pork with the leftover marinating sauce, then grill for the second time for 2-3 minutes. Lift and then brush sweet soy sauce on it and grill for the last time until cooked. Enjoy!
