SEAFOOD WITH OYSTER SAUCE RECIPE – Two days ago, Indonesian-recipes shared how to make sweet and sour seafood. This time Indonesian-recipes back to you again with another recipe namely seafood with oyster sauce. For some people who love seafood, they love everything about the taste, the texture, and the variety. It also happens to me and most of my friends. I just made seafood with oyster sauce for dinner tonight. It’s so quick and easy yet everyone loved it. Popular at get together.

  • 150 gr shrimp
  • 150 gr squid
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1/2 scallion, sliced
  • 4 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp salty soy sauce
  • ground pepper to taste
  • salt to taste
  • 1/2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 ginger, sliced
  • 1/2 tbsp cornstarch, dissolved in water
  • 200 ml water
  • oil or margarine to taste


  1. Firstly, bring shrimp and squid to a boil together with a little ginger to get rid the bad smell for approximately 5 minutes. Set aside and drain. No need to discard the ginger.
  2. To make oyster sauce: stir-fried garlic and onion until aromatic. Then, stir in boiled shrimp and squid.
  3. Add water, then stir in oyster sauce, salty soy sauce, sugar, pepper, salt, and scallions.
  4. After that, add cornstarch and stir until blended and sauce thickens.

It seems like seafood and oyster sauce is a great match! Serve over warm rice and vegetable of your choice. In this recipe, I just used shrimp and squid but you can add more seafood (like clams or lobster) for more taste! Combine everyone’s favorite seafood and have meals with this filling dish!
