CHICKEN PORRIDGE RECIPE – Bandung typical cuisine which are the main attraction menus besides Siomay Bandung and Batagor Bandung, is ” Bandung Chicken Porridge”. With fried cakue as the complementary ingredient, shredded fried chicken, and chicken liver, chicken porridge can be served as a delicious breakfast menu. The ingredients and the steps of making this menu are presented below.

Porridge ingredients

  • 250 grams of rice, washed once, drained
  • 1 liter water and more
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste

Complementary ingredients

  • boiled chicken meat, shredded
  • fried cakue, sliced thinly
  • scallion, sliced thinly
  • fried chicken liver, sliced
  • white pepper powder
  • fried soy beans
  • sweet soy sauce
  • salty soy sauce
  • chips
  • chili sauce sambal


  1. Boil water, put the rice, bring to a boil.
  2. Reduce the heat and cook until the rice is mushy, stirring occasionally to prevent burning, add water if needed.
  3. Add salt, stir.
  4. Pour into a bowl, add complementary ingredients according to taste and serve warm.
