BANJAR CHICKEN PORRIDGE RECIPE – Don’t forget to try the delicious recipe from Banjar, Indonesia, if you go to the city. Ingredients:

  • 1/2 kg rice
  • 1/4 kg chicken, minced
  • 1/2  coconut milk
  • Two cinnamons
  • Seven cloves
  • 1 flavoring
  • 1 scallion
  • Salt
  • Sugar
  • Frying oil

Seasoning (grounded):

  • 3 shallots
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 15 pepper

*(roughly chopped all ingredients and seasoning)

Supplementary ingredients:

  • 3 duck eggs, boiled, sliced
  • 3 celery, sliced
  • Fried onions
  • Chips

Directions:

  1. Fry the fried onions and then add prepared grounded seasoning.
  2. Add minced meat.
  3. Boil the rice with 1.5 liter water, add the seasoned chicken meat, cinnamons and clove until the rice is half cooked.
  4. After there is only little water left in the cooked rice, pour coconut milk into the cooked rice and stir it carefully.
  5. Add salt, sugar, and flavoring as needed.
  6. Keep cooking till done.
  7. Best serve hot with sliced celery, fried onion, chips and duck eggs.
