CRAB RECIPE WITH PADANG SAUCE – It is one of the menu which always presented in Padang restaurant, Indonesia. Padang sauce is a blend of some sauces like chili sauce, tomato sauce, and oyster sauce. Padang sauce and seasonings used in this recipe make this menu surprisingly delicious.


  • 1 crab
  • 1 tablepoon tomato sauce
  • 2 tablepoonschilli sauce
  • 1 tablepoon oyster sauce
  • Water to taste
  • Cooking oil to taste
  • Sesame oil to taste

Smooth seasoning

  • 5 onions
  • 5 cloves of garlic
  • 3 candlenut
  • 1 ginger
  • 5 red cayenne pepper
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon flavor enhancer
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt


  1. Cut a little bit of the back of the eye of crab, discard the litter then wash clean.  Dry with clean rag or tissue.
  2. Boil crab for 5 minutes, lift and drain.
  3. Sir-fried seasoning until the aroma fills the room, stir in tomato sauce, chilli sauce andoyster sauce while stirring. Pour water to taste, stirring until boiling. Add boiled crab. Cook to allow the crab absorb the condiment and almost some of wateris gone, lift.
  4. Put crab with sauce Padang on serving plate, best served hot.
