EGG RENDANG RECIPE – Have you ever heard  a typical dish from Indonesia, rendang? Definitely, yes. Rendang is a spicy meat dish which originated from Padang, Indonesia. It is so popular and commonly made across the country. Rendang is also served among the Malay community in Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei and Southern Philippines. Ingredients

  • 1/2 kilograms chicken eggs
  • 1 liter water, to boil the egg
  • 400 ml coconut milk from 1 coconut
  • 1 teaspoon salt to taste
  • Flavor enhancer according to taste
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 2 stalks lemongrass
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sweet soy sauce
  • Leaf turmeric to taste (if any, optional)
  • Cooking oil to taste

Grounded seasoning

  • 2 cm galangal
  • 1 cm ginger
  • 8 big red chilies
  • 1 tablespoon coriander
  • 6 onions
  • 5 cloves of garlic
  • 5 pecan

Directions

  1. First, cook boiled egg, peel, and then fry until it turns brown in color. Lift and drain.
  2. Next, heat oil, stir-fried grounded seasoning, lemongrass and bay leaves  until the aroma fills the room. Pour the coconut milk. Add salt and flavoring, and mix well.
  3. After that, add brown sugar and sweet soy sauce, mix well and then stir in the egg. Cook until thickened, lift. Egg rendang recipe is ready to be served.
