EGG TOFU RECIPE – Ramadhan month has come. The month of Ramadhan is spent fasting from dawn to dusk every day. Celebrating the Fasting month of Ramadhan will not complete without preparing some recipes for sahur and iftar. This time we present you egg tofu recipe.

Tofu or soybean curd is a food of Asian origin. It is a widely-enjoyed food made from soybeans, and it is a great example of how a simple food like soybeans can be processed into food that is natural, inexpensive, and nourishing. Tofu in Chinese repertoire is a generic term used to describe a wide range of jelled and solidified foods. Ingredients

  • 250 grams tofu,washed, diced 1 cm
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon wheat flour
  • 50 ml water
  • 2 cloves of garlic, mashed
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 3 leek, sliced 1 cm
  • 150 grams bean sprouts, boiled with hot water until wilted
  • 150 grams cucumber, roughly chopped

Chili sauce/ sambal

  • 1 tablespoon cooking oil
  • 2 cloves of garlic, thinly sliced
  • 5 chilies, finely sliced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons shrimp paste
  • 10 tablespoons sweet soy sauce

Directions

  1. Beat eggs. Stir in flour that already mixed with water, salt, garlic and tofu slices. Combine. Pour the dough into 5 portions.
  2. Preheat anti-sticky frying pan, smeared with oil. Pour one of egg tofu dough, Cook over low heat until dough cooked on one side. Turning the dough and cook for another time until the dough cooked evenly. Lift. Set aside. Repeat this step for the rest four portions of dough.
  3. Chili sauce: heat oil in a frying pan. Then stir-fried onion and red hot chili pepper until half-cooked. Lift, mashed. In a small bowl, combine chili, garlic, salt, paste and soy sauce. Mix well.
  4. Serve egg tofu with bean sprouts, cucumber, chili paste and a sprinkle of chives leaves on top.
