FISH MEATBALLS RECIPE – It is one of the menus that can be a good option, as an appetizer. Using mackerel meat as the ingredient will make the meatballs taste more delicious but tuna and gindara fish can be the alternative substitution to it.

Ingredients

  • 250 grams mackerel
  • 1 segment ginger
  • 400 ml water to boil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 200 grams bread flour
  • 1 onion
  • 3 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 300 ml cooking oil

Directions

  1. Peel and then grate ginger, set aside. Peel and then chop onions, set aside. Fry sesame seed until fragrant, dry, and it turns browned in color, set aside. Boil the water with high heat, and then simmer the fish until cooked. After boiling, lower the fire and continue to cook 15 minutes more. Drain and shred the meat.
  2. Put shredded fish into a large bowl. Add grated ginger, salt, onions, pepper and one mixed beaten eggs. Keep stirring until it becomes dough.
  3. Take 1/2 tablespoon fish dough and then make it ball-shaped with the help of two tablespoons. Repeat this step until there is no dough lefts. Set aside. Pour bread crumbs and sesame weeds into another bowl, stir until blended. Then dip ball dough into the rest of the eggs that already shaken off and then roll the balls into bread flour until blended.
  4. Heat the oil over medium heat, and fry the meatballs until it turns golden in color, cooked and float. Lift and drain. Serve it hot with chili sauce and soybean sauce.

Tips

* To be made into meatballs, it is better if the ingredient is fish mackerel tuna and gindara fish can be the alternative substitution to it.

* You can make meatballs with varied taste. The meatballs are commonly mixed with standard seasoning. An alternate mix of ingredients: chili powder, grated cheese, parsley leaves slices, sesame seeds or black pepper which are roughly mixed.
