FIVE SPICE MEAT RECIPE

FIVE SPICE MEAT RECIPE – Did you know about five spice seasoning? Five spice seasoning is a seasoning consisting of five kinds of spices including thyme, rosemary, oregano, bay leaf and poppy seed. This spice can be obtained at the grocery store or in supermarkets. Check the recipe out.

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp five spice powder
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 400 gram meat
  • 3 tbsp cooking oil
  • 3 sections of ginger
  • 1 piece onion
  • 3 pieces scallions
  • 3 tbsp sweet soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce

Directions

  1. Wash the meat thoroughly and then  slice thinly wide. Then cut into thin lengthwise, set aside. Peel ginger and then grate finely, set aside. Cut onions into two parts and then sliced it 1/2 cm, set aside. Slice scallions 2 cm, set aside.
  2. Mix the five spice powder and pepper. Stir well. Then add the slices of meat while keep sirring until the seasonings and ingredients are well blended. Leave it for 15-20 minutes. Set aside.
  3. Heat 1 tablespoon oil over medium heat, and fry the grated ginger and  onion slices until the aroma fills the room and it turns golden in color. Add scallions, keep stirring until wilted. Lift and set aside.
  4. Heat the remaining oil over medium heat, then stir-fried the meat and the seasoning until the meat changes in color and becomes stiff. Add the seasoning and then low the heat. Continue cooking until the meat is cooked. Serve immediately with rice.

Tips

* Five spice seasoning consisting of five kinds of spices including thyme, rosemary, oregano, bay leaf and poppy seed. This spice can be obtained at the grocery store. * Meat has a soft texture and can be cooked quickly. The price is a bit expensive than the portion of another meat. You can replace it with sukiyaki meat or meat soup, if there is no meat.
