GOURAMI  RECIPE WITH SOUR BROTH – There are some serving ideas of how to enjoy fish, you can fry, bake, or cook it with sour broth.   • 1 liter water
  • 5 cloves of garlic, cut into thin slices
  • 5 cm ginger, pounded
  • 10 kaffir lime leaves, cut into thin slices
  • 3 lemongrass, (take the white part and then pounded)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 ½ teaspoon pepper
  • 3 tablespoon lime juices
  • 200 gr sweet corns kernels
  • 500 gr gourami
  • 2 scallions’ stem, cut into 2 cm
  • Basil leaves
  • 2 tomatoes, cut into 8 parts


  1. Boil the bones from the fish fillets together with the water, lemongrass, ginger, and two kaffir lime leaves until it is cooked. Cook over a low heat until the fish broth tastes strong. Remove, set aside, and filter the broth.
  2. Boil the broth for another time, add garlic, kaffir lime leaves, salt, and pepper. Add sweet corn and gourami, cook until the fish slightly turns in color.
  3. Finally, add scallion, tomatoes, basil leaves, and lime juices. Set aside and serve.
