GRILLED CHICKEN WITH COCONUT MILK RECIPE

GRILLED CHICKEN WITH COCONUT MILK RECIPE – Wanna enjoy dinner with grilled menu? Grilled chicken with coconut milk is a good choice for you and your family.

Ingredients

  • 500 grams chicken
  • 2 segment ginger
  • 1 sheet turmeric leaf, ripped to shreds
  • 2 stalks lemongrass leaves
  • 1 sheet bay leaf
  • 2 pieces orange leaves
  • 20 ml thick coconut milk
  • 1/2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 2 tbsp oil for frying

Seasoning

  • 6 red onions
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 1/2 tbsp ground coriander
  • 50 grams big hot chili pepper
  • 3 sections turmeric
  • 1/2 tbsp cumin
  • 5 grains candlenut
  • 1/2 tsp powdered kayumanis
  • 2 stalks clove
  • 1 piece mace

Directions

  1. Chop chicken meat according to taste, and then wash the meat thoroughly. Set aside. Pound lemongrass, ginger and set aside.
  2. Shell and slice onion, garlic and turmeric. cut into pieces  Slice red pepper  and then mash together the onion, garlic, turmeric, nutmeg, coriander and cumin. Add the cloves, nutmeg and cinnamon powder.
  3. Heat the oil over medium heat, and stir-fried softened seasoning until fragrant.
  4. Add ginger, lemongrass, lime leaves, turmeric leaves, bay leaf, and coconut milk. After boiling, low the heat and keep stirring until the aroma fills the room and the coconut milk somewhat thick. Stir the meat pieces briefly until the meat changes in color. Add sugar, salt and pepper. Cook until the chicken is half cooked. Lift.
  5. Preheat grill, grill the chicken until cooked and it turns lightly browned both sides in color. Brush the chicken with coconut milk one time. Lift. Serve immediately with hot rice.

Tips

* 500 grams chicken about 1/2 chickens. You can use pieces of thighs, wings or chicken breasts ready to use.

* If you want more spicy taste, you can use big red pepper instead of red chili.

* If there is no shredded coconut,  ready-made coconut milk packed can be used. Add lime leaves to remove unpleasant taste and aroma of coconut milk.
