The noodle and spices are cooked with bean sprouts, tomato, cabbage and celery. Mie Aceh usually uses thick yellow noodles and is available in two variations; goreng (fried and dry) and kuah (soup). Also two options of ingredients; meat (beef or mutton) or seafood (shrimp or crab). Usually sprinkled with fried onions on top, and served with crispy chips, cucumber, and lime.

  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 300 grams cooked thick egg noodles
  • 1 tomato, cut
  • 100 grams beef, diced 1/2 cm
  • 150 grams bean sprouts
  • 1 leek, cut 1 cm
  • 2 tablespoons chili sauce
  • 1 teaspoon curry powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sweet soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 100 ml broth
  • 1 tablespoon oil

Smooth seasoning

  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 3 candlenut
  • 2 cm turmeric, roasted


  1. Stir-fried smooth seasoning until the aroma fills the room. Keep stirring until it changes in color. Add tomatoes. Combine.
  2. Add noodles, scallions, chili sauce, curry seasoning, sweet soy sauce, and chili powder. Stir well.
  3. Add salt and sugar. Mix well. Pour broth. Cook until done.
  4. Add sprouts before lifting. Combine. Lift. Serve.
