PAMEKASAN SOUP RECIPE – Pamekasan soup or Soto Pamekasan is the typical menu from Madura, Indonesia. Here’s the recipe or how to make a delicious Pamekasan soup which can be warm hearty dinner menu for your family. This menu is served with rice or rice cake.   • ¼ kg chicken meat
  • ½ ounce Potatoes
  • ½ ounce sprouts
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons rice flour


  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 5 onions
  • 1 galangal
  • 5 cloves of garlic
  • 1 ginger
  • 3 red chilies
  • 1 teaspoon shrimp paste
  • 1 bunch rice noodles


  1. Boil the rice until cooked.
  2. Mash spices, stir-fried the seasoning until separated from the oil. Slice some onions thinly and then fry onions. Add seasoning into chicken stew, boiled until the meat tender.
  3. Chop potatoes and then make some potatoes into meatball, i.e. a mixture of potatoes, 1 egg and salt, deep fried.
  4. Stir-fried bean sprouts, rice flour, salt and water to make soup broth.
  5. Boil eggs. Slice boiled eggs.

Serve it with rice cake, lime, and sambal or sauce. Here’s how:

Slice rice cake and put it on serving plate, add chicken meat slices on top,  potatoes chips, meatball, boiled eggs, broth, and onions.
