SEBLAK RECIPE – Seblak is an Indonesian savory and spicy dish made of wet krupuk (traditional Indonesian crackers) cooked in spicy sauce. Seblak is a specialty of Bandung city and one of the most popular street foods in Indonesia, especially in Bandung and Jakarta. Yup, seblak indeed tastes amazing to enjoy anytime. You can also choose your favorite seblak topping according to your taste. This recipe uses eggs, meatballs, mushrooms, and chicken’s feet, but you can cook your own seblak with some of protein sources like chicken meat, seafood or beef.

  • 200 grams raw yellow aci cracker
  • 1-2 eggs
  • 4 meatballs
  • ear mushrooms to taste
  • green or white Chinese cabbage (to taste)
  • chicken’s feet to taste, peeled, and then simmered until tender
  • sugar and salt to taste

Grounded  seasoning

  • 5 onions
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 cm galangal
  • 15 red cayenne peppers
  • 2 teaspoons tamarind water
  • 1 tomato


  1. Firstly, soak crackers in water until it turns soft in texture, lift and drain.
  2. Stir-fried grounded seasoning until the aroma fills the room. Stir in egg. Mix well.
  3. After that, add water to taste and season with sugar and salt. Combine well.
  4. Then, stir in crackers, meatballs, ear mushrooms, chicken’s feet, and Chinese cabbage.
  5. Continue to cook until there is only a little gravy lefts. Lift and serve while warm.
