SPECIAL BEEF JERKY RECIPE – It is common that the jerked meat is produced by desiccation method, drying in the sun or using oven. But for this recipe, the cooked jerked meat is produced after it is dipped in the seasoning and then boiled. The following steps explain the ways of how to make special beef jerky.

Dip Materials:

  • 1 kg beef, sliced slightly
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper powder
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 5 cm ginger plant, pounded

Boiled Seasoning:

  • 1 liter water
  • 5 cloves of onions, roughly pounded
  • 2 lemongrass
  • 2 lime leaves

Fried Seasoning:

  • 2 lemongrass
  • 7 red chilies, roughly sliced. You can add red hot chili pepper, if you like spicy taste.
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 lime leaves
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • 2 cm ginger plant, pounded
  • 200 ml frying oil
  • 2 tablespoons palm sugar
  • 7 cloves of onions, roughly pounded
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice


  1. Cover the beef with dipped seasoning. Leave the jerky for approximately 20 minutes.
  2. Boil water to cook the beef. After the water is boiled, put the beef and the boiled seasoning into the boiling water.
  3. Simmer the beef for at least 30 minutes, until it is tender, but leaving little water left.
  4. Pound the boiled beef to ream the fiber.
  5. Stir-fried onions, chilies, ginger plant, lemongrass, and lime leaves over a medium flame.
  6. After that, add pounded beef, leftover boiled water, palm sugar, and acid water.
  7. Finally, add salt, pepper, and lemon juice. You can add little or more lemon juice based on your preference whether you like sour taste or not.
