BEAN CURD CHEESE RECIPE – Soy beans can be cooked into many delicious foods that you can eat such as fermented soybean cake, tofu, and soya milk as well. With some processing steps and an additional ingredient of tofu flour, soya milk can be made into bean curd food like pudding. It is a healthy Indonesian food that you can make at home.   • 10 kg soy beans, soaked one night
  • 1 kg tofu flour
  • ½ kg pandan leaf
  • 30 l water

Brown Sugar Sauce Ingredients

  • 5 kg ginger, smashed
  • 1 kg red ginger, smashed
  • 3 kg brown sugar
  • 2 kg sugar
  • 20 l water

Additional Ingredients

  • 2 kg palm sugar
  • 2 kg cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 kg peanut, toasted


  1. Knead the soy beans, separate between the beans and the husks.
  2. Cook the soy beans at a low heat for about 30 minutes or until fluffy. Cleanse in the running water, drain.
  3. Finely mill the soy beans together with water, strain with a clean fabric and separate between the soy extract and its pulp.
  4. Pour the soy milk into a large pan. Cook together with the tofu flour and pandan leaf until boiled, remove from the heat and pour it into a thermos. Cover the surface of the curd with a transparent plastic, let it solid.
  5. Brown sugar sauce: cook all the ingredients until boiled, remove from the heat and strain.
  6. Serving: Poured with the brown sugar sauce, spread with palm sugar, peanut, and grated cheese. It is ready to be served.
