CIRENG RECIPE WITH SALAD SAUCE – When we are enjoying cireng, there is something else very suitable to serve together which is peanut sauce or sauce as its complement. Cireng with salad sauce is one of the variant of this rubbery snack. Cireng with salad sauce is fried cireng or frozen cireng with salad sauce. To make it and sell it as well, follow the recipe below.


  • 500 g Pak Tani tapioca starch
  • 50 g garlic, ground
  • 25 g leek
  • 500 ml hot water
  • Salt
  • Ground pepper

Salad Sauce Ingredients

  • 125 g red pepper
  • 75 g red chili
  • 175 g peanut
  • 250 g brown sugar
  • Water
  • 50 g tamarind, melted with water


  1. Salad Sauce: Grind the chili, red pepper, brown sugar, and salt until finely pounded. Add the peanut, grind again until pounded. Add the tamarind melted with the water and stir until coagulated. Pack the salad sauce in the small plastic then tie it.
  2. Mix the tapioca starch together with salt, ground pepper, ground garlic, and leek until well combined. Pour the hot water a little by little while being stirred using spatula until completely coagulated.
  3. Take a small piece of the mixture (for about 15 g) using 2 tablespoons, make it circle. Put it into the tapioca starch, wrap until completely covered and not sticky. Repeat with the remaining mixture until all the mixture is used up. Put the cireng mixture into the mica plastic, press its tip using a presser. Put all of them in the Tupperware then store them in the freezer for about 30 minutes.
  4. Cireng with Salad Sauce is ready to market.
