LEMPER WITH MEATY RENDANG RECIPE – Rendang is one of Indonesian iconic foods from Padang, Sumatera. Its spice itself can be used to cook other foods like potatoes. Potatoes and chopped beef cooked with rendang spice can be a variant of lemper’s filling. Are you curious to know how to make it? Enjoy the following Lemper with Meaty Rendang recipe.


  • 500 g sticky rice
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 300 ml coconut milk
  • Salt & sugar


  • 150 g potatoes
  • 3 red chilies
  • 150 g beef
  • 50 ml thick coconut milk
  • 5 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 Sajiku Rendang Spice


  1. Fillings
  • Fry the potatoes until third-quarter cooked.
  • Add chopped beef and red chilies.
  • Stir until the color changes.
  • Pour thick coconut milk, cook until dry.
  • Spread with Sajiku Rendang Spice, cook for a while.
  1. Cook sticky rice together with coconut milk, salt, and bay leaf. Then steam until cooked.
  2. Take 2 tbsp of cooked sticky rice, flatten it and fill it with the fillings. Round it up and wrap it with banana leaf.
  3. Do number 3 until all the ingredients are used up. Bake in an oily frying pan.
  4. It can be served now.
