CHEESE NASTAR PASTRY RECIPE – Haven’t you felt satisfied with Kastengel Recipe and Crispy Akar Kelapa Recipe to be served at Eid al-Fitr? It is usually made of wheat flour, plain butter, powdered sugar, egg yolk, etc. filled with pineapple jam and topped with grated cheese. Do you want to know how to make it? Ingredients

  • 200 g plain butte
  • 50 g powdered sugar
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 30 g grated cheddar cheese
  • 350 g wheat flour
  • ¼ tsp. salt
  • 25 g dried milk
  • ¼ tsp. vanilla extract

Jam Ingredients

  • 500 g grated pineapple
  • 175 g sugar
  • 3 cm
  • 3 cloves
  • ½ tsp. salt

Spread Ingredients

  • 2 egg yolks
  • 25 ml water
  • 1 tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 30 g lengthy grated cheddar cheese

Steps

  1. Jam: Cook all the jam ingredients at a medium heat while being stirred until stiff and dry. Cook until the jam not dull in the wok. Remove from the heat and let it stand to cool.
  2. Mix the plain butter together with the powdered sugar and egg yolks using mixer al a medium speed for about 2 minutes until well combined.
  3. Add the grated cheddar cheese, wheat flour, salt, dried milk, and vanilla extract then stir.
  4. Take a small piece of the mixture, round it off and flatten it. Add the jam then round it off again. Do the same thing until all the mixture is used up.
  5. Spread: Mix all the spread ingredients then spread it onto the pastry then put the pastry into the baking tray.
  6. Bake in the oven at 160°C for about 20 minutes until well cooked. Remove from the heat, spread again the pastry with the spread ingredients while it is still hot then cool it.
  7. Store the Cheese Nastar Pastry in the air-proof container.

Note: Make approximately 500 g.
