HEALTHY GINGER COOKIES RECIPE – Who says that Indonesian spices cannot be made as the ingredients of cookies? Well, Indonesian spices can be made as cookies besides they are usually used in special foods as spices. Like lemon grass, ginger is also one of the spices that can be made as cookies. Most of us also know that it is usually made as hot beverage that is very healthy or made as candy called ginger candy or Indonesian call it as “permen jahe”.

Ginger, as we know, is a beneficial spice that can warm our body when it is cold. Some of us don’t like to taste it because it is kinda spicy, so a creative person solve it by mixing the ginger with cookies ingredients and make it as cookies. It is not difficult to make ginger cookies, so simple guys. You can also find all the ingredients easily at the supermarkets. Here we present the recipe of Healthy Ginger Cookies.

Ingredients

  • 350 g wheat flour
  • 200 g margarine
  • 150 g butter
  • 125 g powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp. dried milk
  • 2 egg yolks
  • ½ tsp. vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp. ginger powder

Steps

  1. Mix the wheat flour together with the margarine, butter, dried milk, powdered sugar, egg yolks, vanilla extract, and ginger powder until soft.
  2. Knead the mixture using hands until truly combined and dull and make sure that the mixture can be mold.
  3. Mold the mixture according to your taste then bake in the oven at 125° C until well baked.
  4. Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool then store them in the air-proof container.
