WHEAT BRAN BISCUIT RECIPE – Wheat bran is commonly found in certain cereals, like Raisin Bran or Bran Flakes, as well as bran muffins, which rose to popularity in the 1980s. It is used as a source of dietary fiber for preventing colon diseases (including cancer), stomach cancer, breast cancer, gallbladder disease, hemorrhoids and hiatal hernia. It is also used for treating constipation, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), high cholesterol, high blood pressure, and type 2 diabetes.   • 75 g butter
  • 3 ½ tbsp. palm sugar
  • 3 ½ tbsp. powdered sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup of wheat bran
  • 1 cup of wheat flour, sifted
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 150 DCC for dipping the cookies


  1. Prepare the ingredients. Preheat the oven to 180° C. Spread the baking tray with butter or line it with baking paper.
  2. Mix the wheat bran together with the wheat flour and baking powder then stir until combined.
  3. Mix the butter together with the palm sugar and powdered sugar until pale and fluffy. Add the egg and make sure if the mixture is well combined.
  4. Turn off the mixer. Pour the flour mixture, stir using spatula until combined and can be mold.
  5. Round the mixture off then put it into the baking tray. Press it using fork until somewhat thin. Repeat with the remaining mixture until all the mixture is used up.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 15 to 20 minutes. Remove from the heat and let them cool.
  7. After all of them are completely cool, melt the DCC. Dip part of the cookies or the bottom and the edge of the cookies into the chocolate. Let it frozen on the baking paper.
