LASAGNA MIX SAUCE RECIPE – Have you ever heard about lasagna mix sauce? Ok, if it is the first time you hear about it then just pay attention to us because we’ll discuss about it in this occasion. Lasagna which we know as a dish made with several layers of lasagna sheets alternated with sauces and various other ingredients is originated in Italy ascribed to the city of Campania. It is kinda traditional dish there at the time it was found. Well, at that time lasagna was a kind of a flat sheet of paste dough cut into strips. Red Sauce Ingredients

  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, chopped
  • 1 tin of corned beef (you can substitute it with chopped beef with same amount)
  • 75 g canned mushroom, slightly sliced
  • 1 tsp. salt (if you use corned beef then you just need to use ½ tsp. salt)
  • 4-5 big tomatoes, blended
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 3-4 tbsp. tomato sauce
  • 2 tbsp. Italian herbs (mixed herbs)
  • 100 g cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 tbsp. cornstarch, melted with 100 ml water
  • 2 tbsp. olive oil
  • Vegetable oil

White Sauce Ingredients

  • 75 g margarine
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, chopped
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • 60 g wheat flour
  • ½ tsp. oregano powder
  • 600 ml liquid milk
  • ½ tsp. ground pepper
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 75-100 g cheddar cheese, grated
  • 75 g parsley, chopped


Red Sauce:

  1. Heat up the vegetable oil. Sauté the chopped onion and garlic until fragrant.
  2. Add the corned beef or chopped beef and cook until half cooked.
  3. Add the sliced mushroom and let it stand for few minutes. Then add the blended tomato, tomato sauce, Italian herbs, salt, and sugar. Stir well, add the grated cheddar cheese and stir again.
  4. Add the melted cornstarch, stir and cook until coagulated.
  5. Add the olive oil awhile before being removed from the heat.

White Sauce:

  1. Heat up the margarine, then add all the dried ingredients except grated cheddar cheese.
  2. Pour the liquid milk a little by little while being stirred.
  3. Cook until well boiled at low heat while being added with grated cheddar cheese and chopped parsley.
  4. Stir until well cooked and remove from the heat.

Mix Sauce Steps

  1. Prepare a griddle and spread a bit margarine.
  2. Add the red sauce into the griddle then make a layer of lasagna.
  3. Add the white sauce on to it, then sprinkle with grated cheddar cheese.
  4. Repeat the second and third point until all the sauce is used up.’
  5. Then bake in the oven at 180° C until well baked.
  6. Remove from the oven and serve it.
