Can smoked food cause diarrhea?
Chef's answer
If you smoke it poorly (by that I mean too much smoke or bad smoke), you may be ingesting some creosote which can upset your stomach. I.e. Diarrhea. Try your next cook with just charcoal (no wood chunks) and see if that helps.
